This Antonio Pineda necklace is a little bit punk, a little bit superhero, and totally chic. It's anchored by a large "V" that is studded with pyramidal onyx; a single pearl on the inside of the "V" acts like the dot on an exclamation point and is the perfect accent. The links on the silver chain echo the pyramidal stones but flexibly conform to the shape of your neck.

Antonio Pineda (1919-2009) was one of the modernist masters of Mexican silver jewelry.  Pineda began his career working for William Spratling and opened his own taller (studio) in 1939.  A comprehensive exhibit of his work was shown at the Fowler Museum in Los Angeles and a monograph Silver Seduction, The Art of Mexican Modernist Antonio Pineda was produced in conjunction with the exhibit.
