Coiled silver is lined with gold in these marvelous earrings by Anna Greta Eker for the Norway Plus workshop. Known as "Buzz" (Snurr in Norwegian) the gold lining emits subtle flashes of gold as they move.

I have separately listed the matching necklace.

Anna Greta Eker and her husband Erling Christoffersen were the chief designers of the silver workshop at Norway Plus Designs which started in 1958 and closed in 1970.

  • Materials:

    Sterling silver with gold plating on the interior of the coil

  • Size:

    The coil is 7/8" in diameter. The earrings are 2-1/4" long from the top of the surmount to the bottom of the coil.

  • Marks:

    A chunky conjoined “ND”, the maker’s mark for the Norway Plus workshop; "Sterling"; "925S"; and Norway. The marks are on the interior of the the coil and were difficult to photograph clearly

  • Age:

    Late 1960's

  • Condition:

    Very good vintage condition with some tarnishing of the silver on the interior of the coil beneath the gold plating. There is a small notch in one of the jump rings attached to the coil on one of the earrings.
