Coiled silver is lined with gold in this exceptional pendant by Anna Greta Eker for the Norway Plus workshop. Known as "Buzz" (Snurr in Norwegian) the gold lining emits subtle flashes of gold as the wearer moves. The pendant comes with a sterling neck ring that is unsigned and is probably not by the Norway Plus workshop.

Anna Greta Eker and her husband Erling Christoffersen were the chief designers of the silver workshop at Norway Plus Designs which started in 1958 and closed in 1970.

  • Materials:

    Sterling silver with gold plating on the interior of the coil

  • Size:

    The coil is 1-3/4" in diameter. With the hammered vertical piece from which it is suspended it is 3-1/2" long. The neck ring is approximately 15" in circumference.

  • Marks:

    a chunky conjoined “ND”, the maker’s mark for the Norway Plus workshop; Eker’s maker’s mark of “AGE”; "Sterling"; "925S"; and Norway. The marks are on the interior of the the coil and were difficult to photograph clearly but can be seen in the first photo at around 10 o'clock on the spiral
