Product Info
A sublime shade of purple enamel fills slightly concave links in this sophisticated bracelet by Atelier Borgila.
Atelier Borgila (1920-present) was founded in 1920 by Erik Fleming; he was joined by his son Lars Peter Eriksson Fleming in 1953. In 1943 Erik Fleming arrange the first exhibition of modern jewelry in Sweden, introducing many of the artists such as Sigurd Persson who became well-known after the war. Many renowned silversmiths worked and designed for Atelier Borgila including Rey Urban, Cleas Giertta, Birger Haglund, Sigurd Persson, and Stig Engelbert.
Though this bracelet does not have the Borgila maker's mark, I've seen other examples of this design with the Borgila mark. Furthermore, it has the initials "MIC" for designer Mic Neugel, and came with a brooch that has both the "MIC" mark and the Borgila mark, along with the same purple enamel, so I feel comfortable making the attribution.
