Product Info
Oscar Gundlach-Pedersen (1886-1960) was trained as an architect and joined the Georg Jensen Silversmithy as a designer in the 1920’s. His designs show the influence of the Art Deco movement and are often described as “functionalist”, having purity of form and minimal surface ornamentation.
That functionalist aesthetic can be seen in this bracelet, where the ornament comes from the expression of its structure, in this case the links joining the segments of the bracelet.
This bracelet was designed in the 1930's but produced by Jensen circa 2000. It's never been worn, having been in its sealed plastic sleeve when I acquired it from a collector. It comes in its original Jensen box with the original velvet liner.
