Product Info
Ronald Hayes Pearson (1924-1997) was a distinguished American studio jeweler whose designs are known for their elegant, minimalist forms. He began his career in the late 1940’s after serving in WWII and attending the School for American Craftsmen at Alfred University. In addition to being a practicing jeweler, he also was an integral part of his artistic community, sitting on boards, teaching, and mentoring aspiring artists.
Pearson was a fellow of the American Craft Council and was awarded an honorary doctorate by the Portland School of Art in Maine for his contributions to American jewelry design. His work is in the collections of the Smithsonian; the Museum of Modern Art in New York; the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; and the Museum of Art and Design in New York.
These elegant gold earrings are a wonderful example of his work. They are hand forged, with graceful sweeping lines, and very flattering and comfortable to wear.
