  • Materials:

    Sterling silver

  • Size:

    Approximately 6-5/8" long x 1/1" wide

  • Weight:

    29.6 grams

  • Marks:

"Los Castillo"; "Taxco"; "Sterling"; "Mexico"; "788"

  • Age:

1940's. In 1948 the Mexican eagle assay mark was introduced. Since this bracelet does not have an eagle assay mark it was likely made prior to 1948.

  • Condition:

Very good vintage condition. The safety chain has some dents and repairs. There are also loops on two of the circular links; I've seen another style of bracelet and necklace in the 788 series which have dangles hanging from the loops. I'm not sure whether this bracelet originally had two dangles, or whether the loops (which are original to the bracelet) were provided to allow optional dangles or charms to be added since this is the only example of this particular bracelet that I've found.
