Instead of delivering a baby this stork is delivering a diamond!

Exquisitely crafted, it features a body and head of platinum and tail, beak, and leg of yellow gold. The hand-engraved feathers are beautifully detailed and the eye is set with a pinkish/red cabochon, probably a ruby but too small to get a good reading on the gem tester.

The diamond is probably a replacement since it is a modern brilliant cut, rather than an older style of cut that is more in line with the age of the bird.
