If you love penguins these earrings are a special treat, probably a souvenir of Alaska. The heads and feet of each penguin are made of gilt silver,  with the gold nuggets applied to their bodies. Each penguin has a dark red eye, probably garnet or glass, but too small to get an accurate reading on my gem tester. They have their original screw back fittings, but a jeweler could easily remove them and replace them with posts or fish-hook earwires.
