This 18 karat yellow gold bar link chain "plays well with others" meaning that its classic style can work well with both antique and modernist jewelry. At 34-1/2" long and with a clasp, it is very versatile since it can be worn as a long chain or doubled.

The chain was made in Vicenza, Italy in the 1960's.

    "750", indicating 18 karat gold; the Italian maker's registration mark with a "13" and "VI" inside, the "VI" indicating that it was made in Vicenza, the Italian capital of fine jewelry manufacturing; "GB", probably the manufacturer's initials; and a diagrammatic mark.

  • Age:

    Circa 1960's. The style of Italian registration mark changed in 1968, and the mark on this chain is the type used between 1944 and 1968.

  • Condition:

    Very good vintage condition. There is one link that was repaired some time in the past and the loop holding the bar links together is a hair larger that the others. I've shown this is the last photo.
