This antique gold-in-quartz watch chain has a modern edge to it due to its graphic use of with both white and black backgrounds shot through with glistening gold. The slabs of stone are set in 14 karat gold with a slightly rosy tinge. The gold-in-quartz stones are set into both sides of each link, although only one side of the t-bar. Each link is hinged on both ends.

The main chain is 12" long from tip of watch clip to the t-bar (but not including the length of the t-bar), plus there's an extra 1-3/8" of chain that used to hold a fob. The t-bar is 1-7/8" long. If the new owner wanted to wear this as a necklace, it could be reconfigured by a jeweler to be approximately 15-16" long by adding the 1-3/8" of extra fob chain and making the t-bar into a link.

  • Condition:

    Very good antique condition. There are some hairline cracks in the gold-in-quartz which may be original fractures in the stone, or at least originated from one. There is one place where a chip in the stone is filled with a compound to stabilize it which may be original to the piece's creation or a later repair; either way, it's nicely done and blends with the stone.
