A woven silver vessel is topped with spiraling bronze in this elegant necklace by Biba Schutz. The vessel is suspended from a long woven silver chain that is original to the piece. The vessel and chain have a beautiful patina that adds to the drama of the necklace. I have separately listed a matching pair of earrings here.

Biba Schutz is an award-winning jewelry artist whose work is in the collections of many museums and galleries including the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; the Newark Museum; and the Smithsonian. She received her BA in graphic design in 1968 from American University in Washington, DC but is a self-taught metalsmith.
