These spectacular earrings by jewelry artist Lori Talcott are huge:  be sure to look at the photo of them on a life-sized cut-out of an ear and in my hand to get a sense of their scale.

Lori Talcott (1959-) is a jewelry designer and silversmith based in the Seattle area. She received a BFA in metal design from the University of Washington and an MFA from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. She also apprenticed with a master silversmith in Norway, and some of her designs show the influence of northern European folk traditions, along with Gothic and Romanesque art which can be seen in these earrings.

Her work is in the collection of the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Renwick Gallery and represented by some of the best art jewelry galleries including the Sienna Patti Gallery.
