Though made in the late 19th century, this large Scottish agate arrow brooch is so graphic and stylized that it could pass as a piece of contemporary jewelry. The brooch features figured agates in multiple shades of reddish/brown, accented with white, tan, and blue/green, all set is silver. The brooch has it's original "C" clasp and tube hinge.

    Very good vintage condition. There is a hairline crack in the agate on one side of the "feather", which is not very visible because it is masked by the patterning of the stone; and a small hairline crack on the pale reddish/brown section of the shaft of the arrow, which appears to be a surface-reaching natural fissure in the stone.
