This Art Nouveau ring is masterfully made, with the plique a jour enamel spanning across the top of the ring and onto the shoulders in one continuous piece, a very difficult thing to achieve. The design has Egyptian revival elements, as seen in the lotus flowers that sweep in opposing directions off of the central band of enamel. 

The ring has an unusual color palette with pale lavender enamel down the center fading to blue on the shoulders; the blue reappears at the center of the lotus flowers which fan out in red fading to greenish-yellow.
