A small figure reaches through the craggy surface of this ring, known as Jaara's Dream, by Bjorn Weckstrom for Lapponia.

Bjorn Weckstrom is one of the most important jewelry designers of the 20th century.  He is a sculptor who looks upon jewelry as "miniature sculpture with the human body in the background” as stated on the Lapponia website.

Weckstrom was inspired by the moon landing in 1969 and this ring is part of the series of jewelry that sprung from that inspiration, the most famous of which is his Planetoid Valleys necklace worn by Princess Leia in the first Star Wars movie.
