This Lapponia ring designed by Bjorn Weckstrom is named "Jaara's Helmet" and resembles an ancient warrior's helmet, with the brush-like crest replaced by acrylic. 

Founded in 1960 in Finland, Lapponia is known for their sculptural modernist jewelry and Bjorn Weckstrom, who recently turned 90, is one of the most important jewelry designers of the 20th century. Weckstrom is a sculptor who looks upon jewelry as "miniature sculpture with the human body in the background".
