This extraordinary necklace features back-to-back lava cameos set in gold and linked by gold chains. Each cameo is a different beautifully-carved face based on classical art, and in varied shades of lava stone. The box clasp is integrated into one of the pairs of cameos so as to be nearly invisible when worn.

Lava cameos were a popular souvenir of Italy during the 19th century and this is an unusual and fine example.

    14 karat gold and lava stone. The gold is in a soft shade of rose gold

    20-3/4" long. Each oval cameo is approximately 9/16" long x 1/2" wide.
