These marvelous teal enamel earrings were designed by renowned Swedish jewelry designer Mic Neugel. They are heart or shovel shaped, depending on whether you are in a romantic mood or feel like gardening.

In addition to jewelry produced for his own workshop, Neugel produced jewelry for famed Swedish maker Atelier Borgila and I have seen this design with the Borgila maker's mark in addition to Neugel's.

  • Marks:

    "MIC", the maker's mark for Mic Neugel; "Sweden"; three crowns inside a cat's paw shaped cartouche, the Swedish national control mark; a crowned head (most detail not visiible), the mark for Stockholm; and "I9" the Swedish date mark for 1959

  • Age:

    1959

  • Condition:

    Very good vintage condition. There is a small chip to the enamel on the upper left corner of the earring which can be seen on the left side of the first photo. The chip does not extend all the way to the base silver, although it is sometimes visible in raking light.
