Product Info
This marvelous handmade silver necklace appears to have been influenced by the work of the Padua School, particularly the work of Francesco Pavan, one of the artists associated with the School. The "Padua School" refers to the work of a number of experimental jewelry artists who studied and/or taught at the State Institute of Art in Padua, Italy in the mid-to-late 20th century.
This necklace consists of rectangular silver boxes, open on two sides, that are linked by silver wires with blobby ends. The boxes freely rotate on the linking silver wires. I've included a photo of the necklace photographed on top of a picture of a similar necklace by Francesco Pavan from the book Contemporary Jewellery, The Padua School by Graziella Folchini Grassetto.
