After the untimely death of William Spratling in 1967 his ranch, and the rights to his designs, were sold to Alberto Ulrich who established Sucesores de Spratling (Successors of Spratling) in 1969. Some of the silversmiths who worked for Spratling continued to work at the new company. Ulrich died in 2002 and his daughter now manages the company, which continues to produce high-quality jewelry from Spratling's original designs. The maker's mark for Sucesores de Spratling is nearly indistinguishable from the Spratling mark that was used from 1954-67, however the TS-24 registration mark added to it around 1980 makes it easy to distinguish pieces made after 1980. Several years ago "Sucesores de Spratling" re-branded as "Casa Spratling"; however, they continue to use the TS-24 registration mark so we know that it is still the same company producing Spratling designs.

This marvelous pair of earrings are known as the "Crown Earrings" and date from after 1980 since they have the TS-24 mark. They feature hollow silver spheres crowned by three loops of silver each topped with a smaller silver ball, along with one at the base of the central loop. They are lightweight, making them very comfortable to wear and they come in their original felt pouch.
