  • Materials:

    Sterling silver and paste

  • Size:

14-5/8" long x 1/4" wide. Note: this necklace is best worn tight to the base of the neck or as a choker since the links connecting the paste stones are equidistant from the edges of the stones and the necklace has a tendency to roll forward if it fits loosely

  • Marks:

British hallmarks including the lion passant indicating sterling silver; and anchor, the city mark for Birmingham; a Gothic "S", the date mark for 1892; and "J.W.T", the maker's mark

  • Age:

    1892

  • Condition:

Very good antique condition. The foils on a few stones have oxidized, some with a slightly greenish cast, mostly noticeable under magnification. Other than that, there are some small "flea bites" and scratches on the stones visible under magnification, but not when worn.
